I dreamed that I was holding a bunch of fresh beans in my hands, arranged neatly. I think this is a very happy thing, because I have loved eating beans since I was a child, and there are many delicious dishes to make. I brought the beans home, washed them carefully and prepared to fry them.
I first cut off the ends of the beans and then cut them into small pieces. At this time, a strong aroma of beans filled the air from the kitchen, making people salivate. I put the beans into the hot oil pan and listened to their "tacking" sound as they slowly turned golden brown. I feel like a very talented chef. However, this joy only lasted for a minute, because I suddenly realized that it was just a dream.
After waking up from the dream, I sat on the bed and remained silent. I realized that I really wanted to have such a bunch of beans, but the reality was always cruel and made me disappointed again and again. I couldn't help but think of a family memory - when I was a child, what our family lacked most was vegetables. We only went to the market to buy a few pounds on weekends, and we always distributed them carefully when eating. But this dream made me feel more and more the preciousness and need of this little happiness.
I fell deeply into thinking, what revelations did this dream bring to me? I understand some things and I have more confident thoughts.
First of all, I know how to be grateful. In this busy era, we always focus too much on the pursuit of more and better things. However, we already have many things, and many lifestyle habits don’t even require much effort. When I woke up from the dream, the first thing I felt was gratitude for such small, ordinary things—it was so wonderful to have such a bunch of beans.
Secondly, I learned about caring. I can imagine how these green beans were patiently grown, carefully harvested, and then carefully processed in my hands, and finally turned into lovely side dishes. We should value all life and the world at large and explore our actions and the impact they can have.
Finally, I learned about courage. This dream of mine taught me not to be afraid to pursue my dreams. Even if our pursuits are so small, they are part of our ambitions and vision for the future and cannot be ignored. Only by continuously accumulating such small happiness can we move towards a wider world.
In life, we have too many dreams, as big as changing the world or as small as a bundle of beans, which can bring profound impact and enlightenment to our lives. Believe in yourself, do it bravely, keep learning, and believe that everything will get better. As we carry our bundle of beans home, let’s not forget to give thanks for this blessing.
