I dreamed that I cut down a small pine tree

I dreamed that I cut down a small pine tree. It was a pine tree in early spring. The green branches and leaves were covered with buds, swaying gently in the breeze. In the dream, I was holding an iron axe, wearing work clothes, unkempt appearance, and came to the small pine tree alone.

I felt anxious in my heart, and there seemed to be a strong idea pushing me to cut down this small pine tree. I held the iron ax tightly and chopped at the trunk of the pine tree with one knife after another. With the first cut, the iron ax cut into the surface of the tree trunk, making a "click" sound, and the small pine tree made a subtle trembling sound.

These sounds didn’t dissuade me from cutting it off, but made me even crazier. As it was chopped down one by one, the small pine tree slowly tilted downwards, and finally fell heavily to the ground. I felt an inexplicable excitement in my heart, as if I had accomplished a great undertaking.

However, the moment I cut down the small pine tree, I also felt an unspeakable sense of regret and guilt. Why cut down an innocent little tree? This pine tree may have once been the patron saint of this place, with endless vitality, but I used my short time to destroy it.

When I woke up, I was thinking about the meaning of this dream. Perhaps this dream tells me that we cannot easily cut down trees in nature. They are the source of life for our earth. We should respect nature, care for the environment, and protect this beautiful home where we live.

At the same time, this dream also reminded me that humans need to explore more, learn about nature, and cherish nature in their interaction with nature. Because each type of tree has unique characteristics and functions, they impact the environment and humans in their own different ways.

In short, this dream made me realize that protecting the environment and respecting nature is the responsibility of each of us. Let us start from small things and from now on, pay attention to the environment, protect nature, and protect our public ecological resources.
